Always Keep in Mind the Fundamentals of Electrical Safety

Electricity is a very dangerous source of energy and when dealing with electricity we always need to be safe by keeping in mind the fundamentals of electrical safety.

The first rule of electrical safety is to never be in an area where a live electrical wire is present. There are times during bad weather storms or freak acts of nature where an electrical wire will break and fall to the ground. If you ever encounter a situation like this, you should quickly leave the area and notify the proper electrical services.

The second rule is to never work with electricity where water might be present. Standing in water and having an electrical current nearby spells a recipe for a fatal disaster. So if you are working on an electrical appliance always make sure that you have the power turned off from the breaker box.

The last rule of electrical safety is to make sure you are fully qualified to repair and electrical item. Electricity is a very dangerous source and can be fatal if you are unsure of what you are doing. So you should never attempt to repair or take apart and electrical item unless you are fully trained to do so.

When dealing with electricity you will always want to be smart, educate yourself, and remember the above safety guidelines.
